Please note that the content of this book primarily consists of articles
available from Wikipedia or other free sources online. Taranis malmii is
a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family
Conidae, the cone snails and their allies. Conidae is a taxonomic family
of minute to quite large sea snails, marine gastropod molluscs in the
superfamily Conoidea. The snails within this family are sophisticated
predatory animals. They hunt and immobilize prey using a modified
radular tooth along with a venom gland containing neurotoxins; the tooth
is launched out of the snail’s mouth in a harpoon-like action.
