The Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in Angola, Public and Private, subject to the principle of social responsibility that forces them to a commitment to the project of the nation, for the training of professionals, technicians and staff capable of contributing to social progress as the basis of any sustainable development. This social commitment should be directed towards the inclusion of all those who want training that enables them to create conditions that ensure employability and should be seen to act as poles of endogenous production of knowledge that can feed the systems of innovation and technology. These commitments force to rethink the social function of Higher Education and the ways of responding to the demands of the information society, valuing the intrinsic cultural elements of the region, its standards of living and the needs of social development, implying the definition of national educational policies for Higher Education oriented by trends of credibility and internationalization, mobility and harmonization of diplomas and competences, entrusting the mission of transmitting knowledge and experience.
