the Chairman of the Board, President, and Chief Executive Officer of A.
H. Belo Corporation of Dallas, which owns six daily newspapers,
including The Dallas Morning News, The Providence Journal and Riverside,
California’s Press-Enterprise. He is also Chairman of Belo Corp. Belo
also owns 21 network-affiliated television stations and three cable news
channels. He graduated from St. Mark’s School of Texas and Harvard
College, where he was orator of his class and President of The Harvard
Crimson. He is a recipient of the Media Institute’s 1999 Freedom of
Speech Award.
