Yellow Mosaic Disease of the mungbean caused by a variant MYMV-Vig: IN: NVS: Mg: 2012 in the South Gujarat. Rhizobium sp. is a symbiotic nitrogen fixing bacteria remain associated with the legumes. The present research work was aimed to find the interaction of Rhizobium sp. and MYMV for the exploiting the mechanism to reduce the disease and improve the yield and productivity. Ten different samples were collected to isolate the Rhizobium strain of mungbean. Through the isolation and initial biochemical characterization, three isolates (NAURh-1, NAURh-2 and NAURh-7) out of the ten isolates were suspected to be the Rhizobium sp.
