„Elly“ Jackson (born 12 March 1988) is an English singer-songwriter and
the lead singer of the electropop duo La Roux. She is well-known for her
red hair and androgynous style. Jackson was born in South London on 12
March 1988. She is the daughter of Trudie Goodwin and Kit Jackson, who
are both actors, and has a sister named Jessica. She is also the great
granddaughter of Anthony Bernard who founded the London Chamber
Orchestra in 1921 and became the first musical director of the
Shakespeare Memorial Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. She attended
Pimlico School, Sydenham High School and Royal Russell School.
