Historically speaking, the genealogy of Jesus is an old text. However, this biblical passage remains very meaningful for us. As Warren Carter says, „The genealogy has, then, a theological agenda, a sociological and pastoral function, and a narrative contribution“. First of all, this passage is meaningful to me as a Christian writer. Second, it is meaningful to priests, religious, and seminarians. Lastly, it is meaningful to everyone. I invite you to read the book in its entirety in order to grasp its meaning and implication in our postmodern society.
